This statement is part of the UnderServed website’s “Terms Of Use” policy and describes how we process personal data for the secure operation of this website.

1. Who ‘we’ are

We are the “UnderServed Cyber Threat Reporting Platform” (UnderServed) Consortium. UnderServed is an EU-funded project (Grant Agreement no: 101111844) that began in June 2023 and ends in May 2025. The UnderServed website is managed by UnderServed partner, CyperPeace Institute (CPI), Geneva, Switzerland.

2. Scope of this privacy statement

The UnderServed consortium has prepared this privacy statement to inform visitors to our website.

3. Processing of personal data

The Underserved Project respects your privacy and is committed to protecting it through our compliance with this policy. This policy describes the types of information we may collect from you or that you may provide when you visit our website https://underserved-project.eu/ and our practices for collecting, using, maintaining, protecting, and disclosing that information.

a. IP Address Logging

An IP address is a number assigned to your computer when accessing the Internet. We log IP addresses for systems administration purposes, which helps us understand which parts of our site users are visiting. We do not share IP addresses with third parties.

b. Use of IP Addresses

IP addresses are used to analyze trends and administer the site. They are also utilized for enhancing security.

c. Access to Collected Information

Access to IP logs is restricted to our system administrators and authorized staff. We maintain safeguards to protect the confidentiality and security of the information transmitted to us.

4. Statistics

The website uses Google Analytics, a service which transmits website traffic data to Google servers in the United States and allows us to notice trends to improve the user experience on our website. Google Analytics processes personal data such as: the unique User ID set by Google Analytics, the date and time, the title of the page being viewed, the URL of the page being viewed, the URL of the page that was viewed prior to the current page, the screen resolution, the time in local time zone, the files that were clicked on and downloaded, the links clicked on to an outside domain, the type of device, and the country, region, and city. You may opt out of this tracking at any time by activating the “Do Not Track” setting in your browser.

We employ Google Analytics, which retains data including conversions for 26 months, and Cloudflare logs for security purposes, which are retained for 7 Days.

5. Cookies

We do not store or generate cookies for any reason.

6. Do we change this privacy statement?

We regularly review this privacy statement and will post any updates to it on this webpage. This privacy statement was last amended in December 2023.
